From Trin: I found a small nice glitch… talk to your mafia that a few which you know drop only bad gifts. after you got a level up in crime spree open such a negative gift to get again one level down. then you should be able to get again the mastery item with just only one more good gift and on and on… In that way you can get 10 or 20 items a day.
Basically she’s saying if you want to get the crime spree level up gifts over and over again just have your mafia send you bad gifts then a good gift and open them accordingly, however the crime spree gifts suck so its really not worth the trouble, Zynga may also fix this soon so that your level wont go back down if you get a negative gift.

On May 21, 2010 the Crime Spree feature replaced the Gift Safe House. It is similar to the latest version of the Gift Safe House (also known as Respect Safehouse). You ask your mafia members for help and they can choose to help or sabotage you. Whatever the choose, they can select a reward of Experience, Energy, or Stamina.
As in previous safe houses, the experience reward is equal to their current level divided by three, capped at 25 and 100 (minimum and maximum reward); the energy reward is equal to their level divided by five, capped at 15 and 50; and the stamina reward is always 10. You can get up to five rewards every 24 hours.
For the first two levels (0 and 1), you gain 20% level mastery with every safe you open. Thereafter, you gain 10% per safe.
The maximum number of unlocked safes you are allowed to have is 10. If you unlocked 10 safes and someone helps you again, you will not get an additional one. Therefore, always open them right away!

Unlike previous safe houses, you always get one of the following items when you level up. Previously, you only got a specific item for a specific level.

1. Go to Gift Safe House page.
2. Select your gift for your mafia, send them some RESPECT, or disrespect if you suck..
3. If you still have your reward bonus, choose one.. if not it’s ok you can still send the gift.
4. Now the most important is.. Click on “Send Gift” as many as you can!
* If you still have reward bonus, you can have multiple rewards as many as the click you can made, plus your friend can have lots of gift as many as you can send them. So the amount of how many clicks you can make is the key!
The more slow internet connection you have is the better.
* If you don’t have any reward bonus left, you don’t get the bonus but your mafia can still receive lots of gifts based on how many clicks you can make.
